Who I Am

I'm Chandan — a Data Analyst and aspiring Data Scientist who turns complex, messy data into systems that drive decisions.

My process is end-to-end and deliberate. Every engagement starts with a business problem — not a dataset. I follow a disciplined path from raw data to deployment-ready output. Every step is traceable. Every output is explainable.

On the BI side, I extract non-obvious insights from raw data and build dashboards that decision-makers actually use. My outputs are adopted, not archived.

Next: model deployment and MLOps — bridging the gap between a model that evaluates well and one that runs reliably in production.

Built an end-to-end unsupervised ML pipeline on 1,398+ real-world news articles using Sentence-BERT embeddings and agglomerative clustering — with zero manual labels. Validated clustering quality via Silhouette Score & Davies-Bouldin Index. Delivered interactive chronological timelines that let non-technical stakeholders trace event narratives without reading source articles.

Real-Time Human Activity Recognition using Wearable Sensor Data

Built an end-to-end deep learning system to classify human physical activities (walking vs running) using accelerometer and gyroscope sensor data. Engineered meaningful time-series features such as signal magnitude, jerk, and frequency-based patterns to improve model separability. Designed and trained a Multi-Layer Neural Network with Batch Normalization, Dropout, and L2 regularization, achieving high generalization performance. Developed a full ML pipeline including preprocessing, feature engineering, scaling, model training, evaluation, and test-driven validation.
